We have been a photography team for more than 10 years. Whether we are working in our studio or out looking for the perfect landscape, we are committed to creating the best images possible.
My first experience with photography came as I was growing up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I began with a simple film camera, and my subjects were mostly family, pets, and the farm where I grew up.
At the age of 16, I moved to Arizona with my mother and sisters. Settling in Apache Junction, I was amazed by the beauty of the desert, especially the Superstition Mountains. This is where my interest in landscape photography began.
I bought my first "real" camera in 1999, a Canon 20D, and was impressed by the quality of the images. I eventually progressed to a Canon 40D, and in 2013, to a Canon 1Dx.
My first step into model photography, was in 2012. It took several years of study and experimentation to acquire the skills necessary to do studio photography, and this has now become one of my favorite activities.
My wife Pam and I enjoy our photo shoots, whether working with individuals, families, or models, and we hope that our enthusiasm is reflected in our images.
I was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and moved to Arizona with my family at the age of 6, so I consider myself a native of Arizona. However, I really didn't learn to appreciate the true beauty of this state, until I was much older. My photographic skills are basic, at best, but what I lack in technique, I try to make up for in creativity. I particularly enjoy fashion photography, although circumstances, and my husband's frugal nature, often preclude me from being as fashionable as I'd like.
Most of my work experience outside of photography has been at law firms and doctors offices, and in the health insurance industry. I stepped away from my full-time job in 2013, to focus on our photography business. I assist on photo shoots as well as editing, and I try to use my administrative skills to efficiently run our business and to assist our clients in any way that I can.
